- The matchday started off with a public execution of Arsenal Football Club. The 5-0 thrashing of the now last-place Gunners as five of the City front six scored at least 7.7 rating points.
- Andrew's selection, Jack Grealish, was the man on the floor of that success with a first half assist and 93% passing accuracy. Ryan's pick, Gabriel Jesus, was just shy of the ceiling with a 8.5 on the strength of a goal and an assist in just over an hour on the pitch. However, that 8.5 was enough for joint top score as well as further expansion of his place atop the leaderboard. More on that in a moment.
- A pair of Merseyside forwards mirrored their day's production in the day's later games. Everton's Dominic Calvert-Lewin (Matt) and Liverpool's Mohamed Salah (Greg) each scored from the penalty spot to help their clubs earn points and their backers a 7.3 rating.
- While Gabby Jesus was one half of the top score pairing in City's brutalization of Arsenal, his counterpart in that regard needed all of his production to wrangle a draw in their contest. The in-form Michail Antonio continued his phenomenal start to the 2021-22 season for Scott by being the final link-up in West Ham's brilliant opener. His second half goal was hoped to be enough but was pegged back moments later to end things 2-2 against Palace.
- The optimal pick for this matchday was unsurprisingly another Manchester City attacker. Ferran Torres put both of his shots on target in the back of the net and also registered an assist on his way to a 8.9 rating.
