- The race to the Premier League title will come down to the final day, but after the events of the penultimate matchday in the Pick One Challenge there may not be the same drama.
- Last Man In users were split into two camps for Chelsea/Leicester City with two assignments each for Chelsea's Kai Havertz (Andrew & Ryan) and Leicester's Ayoze Perez (Greg & Matt). It was a draw on the pitch but Perez blew past Havertz by Pick One standards by a 6.6 to 5.9 margin.
- Things were looking good for Trevor heading into halftime of that same match. His selection Romelu Lukaku was getting his legs underneath him and narrowly missed a goal in the first 45 minutes. However, after the team talks, the Belgian came out for the second half only to not get another shot on goal, a yellow card, and then be substituted in the 78th minute on a 6.8 rating.
- Inversely, our day's top scorer had all of his calamity go down in the first half. Scott's pick Emiliano Buendia committed more fouls than he took shots and even conceded a penalty for Burnley on the stroke of halftime. But the second half saw the Argentinian Villa midfielder score to level things and not misfire a single pass, including making three key ones, to finish with a 7.5 rating. The gap heading into the final Sunday is 2.0 ratings points. It isn't an unassailable advantage but it is going to be a rocky road to dethrone the current leader.
- Optimally, only three of the Last Man In league could have had Reece James who earned an 8.4 with an assist on Chelsea's lone goal and 93% passing with 128 touches of the football.
