- Liverpool put themselves within a whisker of glory with a win over Southampton, but in the process the Pick One Challenge may have been put to bed with two matchdays remaining.
- Ryan and Greg were the only two eligible for Last Man In Che Adams and his 6.3 rated appearance for the Saints. However, the meager haul put Ryan within 0.3 ratings points of overtaking Andrew for third place. Will we get late action in the bottom half of the table? I doubt it but speculation can be fun even if it is fleeting.
- Adams was one of two players picked out on the day, the other being Trevor's selection Roberto Firmino. The fifth Liverpool player picked out on the season (no other club has more than two) usually saves all his goals for away from Anfield, but could not get on the scoresheet at Saint Mary's Stadium. The silver lining is that he was his normal industrious self which allowed him to tie for the top score (7.4) among Liverpool's front three despite neither scoring or assisting on any of the two goals.
- But that bit of Bobby bamboozling wasn't enough to topple the most electrifying man in the Premier League, James Milner. Scott put his lead at 1.3 ratings points with only two picks to go after an 8.4 rated midfield clinic from the ageless Red, the best possible score on the afternoon.
