- With Burnley seemingly fully committed to never playing again, the only match available to our participants was Brighton & Hove Albion versus Chelsea.
- Even though Brighton has been a single fixture favorite in the Pick One, all six players went with Chelsea selections.
- Four of those selections came in pairs and were on either side of Chelsea's goal. Those left out in the cold of comradery were Trevor's pick Marcos Alonso (6.7) and Greg's Last Man In Kai Havertz (6.5) who combined for a yellow card and zero shots on target.
- It was November the last time we saw Hakim Ziyech taken in the Pick One but he came back with a goal against Brighton. Unfortunately for Matt and Andrew, that was pretty much his only contribution to the cause. He never completed a cross from the wing and lost the ball over a third of the time he came into possession of it, finishing with a 6.9 (ni.ce) rating.
- That leaves top score honors to go to Scott and Ryan with N'Golo Kante. The former Player of the Year assisted on Ziyech's goal and had his usual spread out heat map making 4 key tackles, an interception, and blocking one shot. His 7.5 was the best you could have done for a Chelsea pick.
- But for the optimal score you would have had to have gone with a Seagull, most notably centerback and goal scorer Adam Webster. He spearheaded the effort to make sure his 60th minute equalizing header earned the home side at least a share of the spoils. He made six clearances, two interceptions, and two tackles in addition to his goal for a 7.9 final rating.
