- Two matches took place on drastically different ends of the entertainment spectrum. All four sides had at least one selection in the Pick One.
- We'll start with the late start first as Aston Villa drew 0-0 with 10-man Leeds United. Matt went with Villa's Philippe Coutinho. While he couldn't produce any goals he did get four shots off (two on target), hit the woodwork, and won seven of nine ground duels to finish on a 7.4.
- Ryan got a tick in the clean sheet column on the scoresheet from Leeds' Junior Firpo. But in terms of score all the left back could muster was a 6.6 in 32 minutes of relief down a man.
- Antony was the lone Red Devil selected on the day. It is unsurprising that it came from Mike. It took a world class effort to pull the Brazilian up from the "orange zone" but a 6.8 with that strike on his scoresheet seems harsh nevertheless.
- Things were looking OK for Pavli's pick Manuel Akanji with only that Antony worldie as a blemish on his record. But then Pep made a quadruple substitution in the 75th minute and it was Anthony with an H (Martial) putting two past the City defense to put the Swiss center half on a 6.8 at the final whistle.
- One of those men subbed off at the 75th minute was Trevor's pick Ilkay Gundogan. The well for goal involvements has run dry for the German midfielder since the end of August in the league. However, he was still able to pull out a 7.0 rating with 94% passing and two clearances.
- Another was our best scorer of the season thus far, Phil Foden. Andrew and Scott gained huge boosts from the England international netting his first career hat trick in the Manchester Derby. He scored three times on four shots on target to earn a massive 9.6 rating and become the second City player ever to score a hat trick in the Derby.
- The first was just nine minutes earlier and was the optimal scorer of the day, Erling Haaland. The Norwegian menace not only scored those three goals but assisted on two others to finish on the best possible score in the game of 10.0. He has netted three hat tricks in eight Premier League appearances. The second quickest was Michael Owen who finished the feat in 48 games in the late 90's.
