- After their soaring opener against Leeds, Manchester United was ripped back down to Earth with a 1-1 draw against Southampton. Trevor's selection, Mason Greenwood, scored United's lone goal and Ryan's, Paul Pogba, assisted. But overall it was a rather lackluster performance with both Pogba and Scott's pick, Bruno Fernandes, picking up bookings. Greenwood was top scorer of the day despite the showing with a 7.6 rating.
- Match two of the afternoon pitted Tottenham Hotspur against Wolves. Spurs took home all three points with a nervy 1-0 victory helping boost the value of the only defender taken on the day, Andrew's selection of Davinson Sanchez, all the way up to 7.3. Matt didn't have the same luck with Heung-min Son who was criminally underutilized before being subbed off for Harry Kane in the second half.
- The last match of the day featured just the second non-Last Man In pick of the year for Greg. Sadly, London was not red on the afternoon as Arsenal were run off the pitch by Chelsea and our last place player's pick, Nicolas Pepe, didn't register a shot on or off target in the full 90 minutes.
- The optimal pick for this matchday would have been Chelsea's Reece James who had a goal, assist, and clean sheet from the right wingback spot for a 9.1 rating in a 2-0 win.
