- For everybody in the bottom half of the standings, it wasn't a great day in the Pick One. The opposite can be said for those in the top half.
- Case in point, take the two San Antonio Spurs selected on the evening. Lonnie Walker IV made a spot start for San Antonio and didn't register a single statistic in double figures as Lou piled on his woes with an 11 PRA showing. Colin on the other hand didn't quite get to Triple Double Down levels of joy but still had the best score of the day for a veteran with 37 PRA from Dejounte Murray.
- The two Central Division point guards didn't do so hot. Al didn't even come close to having his Triple Double Down activate with just 18 PRA from Lonzo Ball. Ricky Rubio's return to Phoenix did even worse for Trevor as the Spanish international had just 15 PRA in the loss.
- No longer a Bench Bargain but still a force in the early stages of this year's Pick One is Montrezl Harrell. Ryan got 35 PRA from the Wizards big man as Washington surprisingly won their fifth game in six.
- As for top score, we must not discount the power that rookies wield in this Challenge. Chris Duarte made it 3-for-3 with selections turning into top scores as Matt got a rookie boosted 48 PRA after a 12/6/6 line from the Pacer first year man. Duarte is the only rookie thus far to be used more than once so it may be time to try spreading the wealth.
- I say that last part because Scottie Barnes continues to find his way into this final bit with another optimal play. A rookie boosted 68 PRA score could have been yours if you bet on the Raptors rook. Last year's MVP Nikola Jokic would have been your man if you wanted a bit of experience in your selection after a 29/16/7 (52 PRA) day in a win over the T'Wolves. Now that Montrezl Harrell is a starter in the nation's capital, Tyler Herro should most likely reclaim the stead of Bench Bargain Extraordinaire on every evening Miami plays. The sharpshooter hit four threes in the Heat's blowout win against Memphis en route to 33 PRA.
