- It was a good night in the Pick One Challenge as the lowest score recorded was 27 PRA, the highest "low" score of the season thus far.
- That 27 PRA night came from the Last Man In Jae Crowder who had three auto-selected backers in Lou, Matt, and Ryan. His nine rebounds in the win over Boston were a season high.
- New York and Toronto easily had the ugliest game of the evening with a combined 35% shooting between the two clubs, but Colin's pick Pascal Siakam capitalized on a lot of those missed shots to finish with 29 PRA in a win.
- Charlotte's COVID woes have been well-documented the past week, so naturally they would eventually have to be cherry-picked here in the Pick One before some of the big guns from the guard unit came back. Trevor went with Cody Martin on this night and despite a puzzling then heartbreaking finish versus Sacramento, Martin ended with 32 PRA. More on this game shortly.
- In the latest installment of so close yet so far when it comes to the Triple Double Down, enter Al's pick and the day's top scorer Domantas Sabonis. 41 PRA on his sixth straight double-double is nice but if you go back and look at some condensed game footage there were several missed shots off Sabonis dishes in the fourth quarter that could have had Al being the second successful cash-in.
- In terms of optimal scoring, Giannis Antetokounmpo spoiled everyone's fun by doing what he does best. That which he does best is of course putting up obscene stat lines and his 63 PRA (41/17/5) is just the latest in a long line. However, that final rebound to close out the game pushed him ahead of an unlikely optimal score candidate at the death. James Bouknight, your evening's rookie Bench Bargain, had a rookie-boosted 62 PRA off the shortened Charlotte bench scoring a career-high 24 points. He had 15 career points entering the night. Kevin Love made this blurb three victorious players out of three as he repped the veterans off the bench with 33 PRA in Cleveland's win over Minnesota.
