- For the first time I can remember outside of the playoffs, all of the picks for one evening all came from one team.
- It was Oops! All Portland Trail Blazers, a club who have been pelted by picks since they shut down Damian Lillard and went fully into tank mode.
- Ryan's pick Reggie Perry hasn't been a Blazer very long, but he became the 18th different Portland player (some picks were made not on Portland) to make the scoresheet. His 19 PRA off the bench against New Orleans included his third double digit scoring game in six games since joining the club.
- Our only other veteran taken on the night came from Trevor in the form of Drew Eubanks. The former Spur and Raptor has found stability in Portland's crumbling campaign finishing with 26 PRA in defeat.
- Keon Johnson became the second Blazers rookie picked out, and eighth overall, netting Colin 30 RBPRA on the night.
- But our joint top scorers were our current gold and bronze medalists, Matt and Al, with their pick Greg Brown III. The 43rd overall pick in the draft is a Colin selection away from becoming the third Blazers rookie picked out. Against New Orleans, he got his backing duo 32 RBPRA including a team-high 7 rebounds.
- Optimally, we would have had to stray away from the Blazers but what fun would that have been? Sure, Anthony Edwards had a career-high 49 points en route to 63 PRA. You could have Triple Doubled Down on Pascal Siakam for a cool 180 PRA night. Lou could have returned from sabbatical and had bench bargain Bones Hyland with 46 RBPRA or one of the pair of Bobby Portis or RJ Hampton with 25 PRA. Hell, Talen Horton-Tucker put up a 40 piece (46 PRA) for the accepting their fate Lakers. But what about the synergy?!
