- There was just four games on the day with only Utah/Cleveland not seeing any Pick One usage.
- Our current game leader was our low scorer for this particular day after an uncommonly poor outing from Toronto's Fred VanVleet. Despite his side winning fairly easily against the Wizards, FVV only had 14 PRA without grabbing a single rebound in 33 minutes.
- Just escaping the daily basement was the Last Man In duo of Lou and Matt with Houston's Daniel Theis. The LMI has not been kind to its users as of late, routinely falling on the least productive starter for either team involved in the day's final contest. The Rockets won their sixth straight against New Orleans but Theis netted just 16 PRA.
- It took a little longer than last year, but the COVID protocols are starting to wipe out substantial parts of rosters once again. The Hornets were down to their third string guards yet still find a way to beat the Hawks. Trevor's pick Ish Smith didn't miss a beat in place of LaMelo Ball with 30 PRA on the road.
- Having already used our top scorer two days prior, Al pivoted to the Pelicans' bench for Willy Hernangomez. A double-double wasn't enough to get him into the Bench Bargain stratosphere, but 25 PRA for 16 minutes work is pretty good ROI.
- That aforementioned top scorer was Colin's pick Brandon Ingram. Now seemingly 100%, the All-Star from a year ago went for 49 PRA including 40 points yet still saw his Pelicans fall to the Rockets. They have now fallen behind Houston in the standings for the first time which felt like an impossibility two weeks ago.
- Optimally, it took some late boxscore stuffing for Evan Mobley to wrangle the grasp of it from Ingram. The Cavs rookie finished with a rookie-boosted 58 PRA in a loss to the Jazz. You've seen Alperen Sengun here in Bench Bargains plenty of times so his rookie-boosted 30 PRA shouldn't be off your radar but until the Hornets get back to full strength Cody Martin's 29 PRA should be very much in your sights.
