- It seems like the second half hangover continued on a Friday night in the Association.
- A seventh blank in his last nine selection days has Lou 180 PRA in the hole in last place.
- Ryan wasn't able to make that gap much larger because his selection on the night, Georges Niang, only put up 4 PRA in Philadelphia's blowout win over Minnesota.
- Jaxson Hayes was Al's search for his own bench bargain and while he scored 4x as much as Niang, 16 PRA for those that didn't feel like doing the math, he couldn't keep himself in the third spot.
- There were two viable starting options for Trevor in regards to his New York Knicks. RJ Barrett coming off a lengthy injury layoff went for 57 PRA including a career-high 46 points against the Heat. Trevor's pick Evan Fournier had just 18 PRA shooting 3-of-10 from three-point range in the loss.
- The third substitute taken on the night was Matt's pick Jalen Smith. He produced the most out of the lot with 24 PRA but his Pacers still fell in overtime to Oklahoma City.
- That leaves our top score honors to fall to Colin and his selection Luka Doncic. While his 41 PRA was far and away the best tally of our selection pool, it did mark the second straight day our top scorer fell just short of completing the Triple Double Down after Matt wasn't able to do so with Domantas Sabonis yesterday. Similarly to Sabonis, this is the third time that a participant has swung and missed with Doncic as their TDD candidate. Only Lou has this mechanism left at his disposal for the month of February.
- Optimally, Matt was the only man who could have taken Raptors rookie Scottie Barnes and his rookie-boosted 68 PRA against the Hornets. Chuma Okeke paced bench veterans with 39 PRA as his Magic bested Alperen Sengun, who led all bench rookies with 32 rookie-boosted PRA, and the Houston Rockets.
