- Despite most participants having their picks in well beforehand, five of the six picks of the day came from the final two games on the schedule with four of those five coming from the Memphis Grizzlies.
- By his lonesome in the early part of the day was Matt with his selection, Wendell Carter Jr. A player who made many a picker mad in 2020-21 with DNP's did indeed play against the Knicks. He was economical on his way to 21 PRA which allowed Matt to keep a share of second place.
- From the late starts, Trevor was not walking in Memphis as he went for his second King in three days, Richaun Holmes. Sacramento was not able to hold home court against Golden State but Holmes did double-double his way to 28 PRA and pull the commissioner out of the cellar for now.
- The low man on the Memphis totem pole was Lou who made Jaren Jackson Jr. a selection proper this time after the recently extended big man was a Last Man In previously. While 17 PRA isn't the worst showing by any means, especially early on, it was the low tally for the evening.
- Speaking of Last Man In, that's exactly what De'Anthony Melton was for our leader Ryan. Melton did enough with 19 PRA to retain the overall lead, but he is no longer alone atop that perch.
- Two participants went with Steven Adams against the Lakers and Colin and Al both shot up onto the Pick One medal stand because of it. A massive 14/16/6 stat line from the New Zealander put Colin in a tie with Ryan for first and Al in a tie for second (or third if you want to be technical about it).
- The rookies are beginning to show what they are capable of as Jalen Green would have been your optimal scorer for the night with a rookie boosted 74 PRA against the Celtics. Veteran wise you could have either joined the Memphis flock by going with Ja Morant and his 53 PRA or anybody but Al could have also joined Matt in Orlando with Cole Anthony who also had a 53 PRA showcase. In terms of Bench Bargain, there is a bit of bit regurgitation going on as a C. Anthony was the best route there as well with Carmelo going for 32 PRA off the bench passing Moses Malone on the all-time scoring list in the process.
