- The final night before All-Star Weekend was not very star-studded to say the least.
- It was a sandwich of blanks once again as both leader Matt and last place Lou were not eligible to use either of the Last Men In from the Clippers.
- Those who did make selections were paired off into two camps: Wizards backers and Clippers backers. Needless to say one side did significantly better than the other.
- The two Wizards selections combined for fewer PRA than the day's top scorer as Al received 14 PRA from Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Ryan found himself with 17 PRA from Kyle Kuzma. Kuzma made it three straight days with a picked out player but that was just the beginning.
- Colin's pick Luke Kennard wasn't quite the night's bench bargain, but he shot 8-of-9 from three-point range to end their win over Houston with 28 PRA.
- That left Trevor to take home the night's top score with the second picked out player of the evening, Marcus Morris. The Clippers scoresheet is beginning to rival Sacramento's in terms of the lack of wiggle room for our pickers and Morris' departure from the eligibility pool makes it that much more difficult to traverse. His 35 PRA night marked the second time he was a top scorer this season.
- Optimally, Luka Doncic made one hell of a statement heading into the break with a 72 PRA masterclass in Dallas' win over the Pelicans. Cam Thomas continued to keep himself in the final blurb rotation with 52 rookie-boosted PRA off the Brooklyn bench while Montrezl Harrell did the same with 32 bench PRA for the Hornets.
- REMINDER: Given the new formatting of the Rookie/Sophomore Challenge, a pick will not be made for it. However, the All-Star Game this Sunday will need a selection unless you choose to abstain from the contest like our eventual winner Al did last year. An All-Star availability list will be made and distributed later this afternoon.
