- After Lakers/Nuggets was postponed, only three games were left for the penultimate evening of 2021. Only Orlando didn't see a selection from the six remaining teams which is a shame since Moritz Wagner could have been had as the Bench Bargain (no rookies were deemed worthy on this night) with 25 PRA. There is a reason this blurb is this spot.
- Trying to bob and weave through the injury lists and who is and isn't back yet can be exhausting and late returns can torpedo even the soundest of selections. That is exactly what happened to Al and Ryan who saw Corey Kispert fall back in the rotation after 3/5 of the Wizards starting five returned from COVID protocols. The Gonzaga product ended their win over Cleveland with only a rookie-boosted 16 PRA.
- Colin played a similar will they, won't they game with Cole Anthony. In the end, Anthony was given another night off for the tanking Magic and the pivot to Bobby Portis had to be made. Portis' Bucks walloped Anthony's Magic but the Bucks versatile big man only netted Colin 20 PRA for the night.
- Two participants had their Triple Double Down left for December. Lou decided to let his fall in the hands of the Last Man In gods and to be fair it didn't land on the worst candidate. Jrue Holiday didn't come close to completing the feat but at least he got our cellar dweller a solid 37 PRA.
- Trevor made it three rookies on the trot with Cleveland's Evan Mobley. The 3rd overall pick played a team-high 32 minutes in Jarrett Allen's absence and accumulated a rookie-boosted haul of 58 PRA. That would have been the optimal score and top score for the day had it not been for...
- Matt became the NBA Pick One's resident Britney Spears because oops he did it again. James Harden's assist to Kevin Durant with 3:03 left in Brooklyn's loss to Philadelphia gave our game leader his second successful Triple Double Down as The Beard went for 33/14/10 leveling up to 171 PRA. This mechanic resets every month so theoretically Matt could go for another 100+ PRA bomb by the end of the week.
