- With the notion that Bradley Beal would be missing his second consecutive game for Washington, several participants felt it was safe to seek points in our nation's capital. None of those endeavors turned out particularly well.
- Fresh off a massive outing against the Pacers, Spencer Dinwiddie crashed back down hard against his former team Brooklyn. Al and Trevor only got 21 PRA from an incredibly poor shooting night and the latter even wasted their Triple Double Down for the month of October on him.
- But complaining about 21 PRA seems rather foolish when you see what came of our now deposed leader Ryan's selection of Davis Bertans. The Latvian only took two shots in 21 minutes played and missed them both. Add no assists and just three rebounds and you have the new floor for scores on the season and a tumble down the standings.
- Lou may almost wish he kept himself tied up in the Dinwiddie dilemma as he made the switch to his second consecutive Junior, Michael Porter Jr. It was a scrappy game if we are trying to using pleasant language and MPJ found himself taking a lot of poor shots en route to 19 PRA.
- Precious Achiuwa was one of the standouts of the dark days of the 2020-21 Pick One where Miami and Philadelphia found themselves seemingly playing glorified scrimmages rather than actual NBA games. The sophomore is now in Toronto and actually carving out a decent niche for himself on the wing and despite falling to 0-3 at home by losing to the Bulls, Matt got a double-double and 24 PRA to claim sole possession of second place.
- But once again for a third straight day Colin is our top scorer, this time with Charlotte's Miles Bridges. The Hornets finally have a 1 in the loss column after falling to the Celtics but the only 1 Colin cares about at the moment is the one sitting next to his name in the standings. 25/10/3 was Bridges' line in defeat pushing Colin into the parking lot of the 200 PRA Club.
- Optimally, we've already had Jaylen Brown have his showcase game early on so it is only fair that Jayson Tatum got in on the action before the end of the season's first month. Tatum had 56 PRA against the Hornets getting near a triple-double (41/7/8) in the overtime victory. Tyler Herro (28) and Patty Mills (27) continue to excel as Bench Bargains but the best value for the evening came in the Clippers' demolition of Portland as Luke Kennard was able to get to 30 PRA off the bench and not even needing garbage time to do it.
