- After a sluggish and cagey start to the NBA Pick One season, we had a lot of participants put up some impressive scores on the evening.
- Lou could have been the first player to successfully cash in his Triple Double Down had he used it on Lonzo Ball who went for 17/10/10 as the Bulls decimated his old club New Orleans. For the 3DD to work it has to be claimed beforehand and you get one a MONTH so don't let it go to waste.
- We had our first utilization of the Last Man In mechanic for the NBA season as Colin was given the first scorer of the 10:00 games which just so happened to be Phoenix's Jae Crowder. 19 PRA is better than zero.
- Joining in Lou in going over 30 PRA with a Chicago Bull was Al with former Spur DeMar DeRozan (36). Without Zion Williamson, the Pelicans are quickly becoming a team to pick against in the Challenge.
- Somebody has to step up for Washington in the absence of Bradley Beal and one of those people on this evening was Matt's selection of Kyle Kuzma. 39 PRA was the second best score of the day and it helped the Wiz beat Indiana and go to 2-0 on the young season.
- Ryan remained in first place behind 28 PRA from Gordon Hayward as the Hornets themselves went to 2-0 with a win over Cleveland. For the second straight season, Ryan was the first person to crack the 100 PRA mark.
- Rounding things out with top score was Trevor who nearly doubled his score for the year thanks for a massive 42 PRA (25/15/2) from Harrison Barnes in Sacramento's loss to the Jazz.
- Optimally, you would have had to go with a rookie for the night's top score as Scottie Barnes erupted against the flat Celtics. The Raptors freshman would have netted you a rookie boosted 80 PRA for the night with 25/13/2 splits in the win.
- Veteran-wise you would have had to look back to the top veteran score of last season and gone with Kevin Durant who went for a triple-double and 56 PRA narrowly besting marks from Myles Turner, Spencer Dinwiddie, and Nikola Jokic.
- Your Bench Bargain actually came from the same team as our top scorer of the day as Buddy Hield continues to flourish as a sixth man, getting 32 PRA off the Kings bench.
