- Three of the night's game saw usage and looking at the two neglected there were a lot of points left on the table.
- Washington was the most popular team as they took on Miami. That acclaim was very quickly proven unwarranted as not only did the Wizards get demolished, all the selections made from the club were fairly poor.
- Kyle Kuzma was the biggest culprit of disappointment as a starter for both Colin and Trevor. He fell below all of his PRA season averages, finished a -35 in just 27 minutes, and ended the loss with 16 PRA.
- Matt also got 16 PRA from Montrezl Harrell but with that coming from a substitute perspective it is still disappointing but not nearly as bad.
- The "best" showing from a Wizards pick on the night came from Al's charge Aaron Holiday. Since being triple Last Man In'ed in December, it had been all quiet on the Holiday front before his 22 PRA game for our current bronze medalist.
- All this talk about disappointing Wizards glossed over the most frustrating performance of the night from Ryan's pick Ayo Dosunmu. The Bulls rookie paired a bad shooting night (1-for-7) with foul trouble (4 fouls) and adding in a complete inability to deal with Devin Booker defensively left the second-rounder spent and saddled with just 8 rookie-boosted PRA in 33 minutes.
- In the end, if only we let the Pick One gods take the wheel like Lou did we could have had Mitchell Robinson and his massive double-double and 41 PRA. His 21 rebounds were the second-most by a selected player in 2021-22 behind Nikola Jokic's 22 (also for Lou) on Boxing Day. Despite the big numbers, the Knicks still lost to the Jazz.
- Optimally, Lou's third top score in four days could have been higher had he completed the picking out of Josh Giddey who again nearly triple-doubled his way to a rookie-boosted 68 PRA. For bench bargains, the best were sitting right under our nose in Washington's Corey Kispert who netted a 56 rookie-boosted PRA game against Miami and the Heat's Gabe Vincent who had 28 PRA in victory.
