- With the MLK Day festivities making for mostly afternoon contests on the NBA calendar, all six of the day's selections came from the final two contests.
- The Lakers, despite defeating the Rockets, were the poorest representatives in the Pick One. Troy Brown Jr. (Matt), Last Man In Patrick Beverley (Colin), and Kendrick Nunn (Trevor) were the selections for the day that didn't surpass 20 PRA. Brown finished with the lowest at 10 PRA, Beverley at 14, and Nunn with 18 off the bench.
- Our first of two Rockets selected on the night was Al's pick Eric Gordon. Colin's designation of Beverley allowed Al to more than double his closest competition as Gordon went for 29 PRA in the loss.
- Jaren Jackson Jr., Lou's selection, was the lone outlier for the evening. The Grizzlies big man had himself a defensive showcase in Memphis' blowout win over the Suns as 8 of his 35 PRA for the night came from the 5x5 bonus.
- But for the second straight day, the Last Man In did Ryan a world of good, this time with Houston's Alperen Sengun. The Rockets post man had a season-high 33 points en route to 54 PRA and his first top score of 2022-23.
- Had either of them looked ahead, either Colin or Lou could have gotten a whopping 90 RBPRA from Lou's long lost cousin Walker Kessler in Utah's last second win over the Timberwolves.
