- It wasn't necessarily an abbreviated slate on the night, but the last game tipping off at 7:30 PM ET always leaves some in scramble mode.
- Two people didn't have to worry about that at all as they went with a pair of Knicks in the afternoon tip-off. Both were starters the game prior but the returns of Julius Randle and a fully fit Mitchell Robinson put relegated Jericho Sims (Al) and Obi Toppin (Matt) to bench duty and 22 RBPRA and 13 PRA respectively.
- Trevor went in search of a bench bargain with Washington's Deni Avdija. It wasn't looking good early on, but a surging second half from the Wizards gave the Israeli international a boost up to 25 PRA.
- Our first of two players selected on the night came from a team who saw an opposite momentum swing crush them. That team was the Lakers against the Pelicans and the player was Ryan's pick Malik Monk. Although Monk was the night's veteran bench bargain with 29 PRA, he couldn't keep his team from slipping even closer to falling out of the playoffs entirely. They are now just one game ahead of San Antonio with eight games left apiece.
- Saying Lou had to scramble with the Last Man In is a farcical statement but Colin indeed had to hope things broke right for him after losing his early pick to a late scratch. However, I don't think he is too upset seeing Malik Beasley's DNP turn into a 49 PRA night from LaMelo Ball, the second picked out player of the lot.
- Optimally, Colin could have done even better if he instead made Corey Kispert the second picked out player as the Wizards rookie went for 58 rookie-boosted PRA against Golden State. Trey Murphy III also hit the 50 rookie-boosted PRA plateau off the bench for New Orleans in their aforementioned comeback against Los Angeles.
