- It was a historic night in certain instances across the NBA, but nothing earth-shattering happened in the Pick One Challenge.
- Al's late-December swoon continued with no help coming from Washington's Rui Hachimura. A second 15 PRA performance in the Challenge was all the forward could muster against Philadelphia.
- A pair of teammates came off the board for Charlotte, one for the final time. Lou got 24 PRA from Mason Plumlee versus Golden State. Colin and Matt got 35 PRA from LaMelo Ball who went from unselected to unselectable in just six days. Ball became the sixth player completely picked out for 2022-23 and the first who had been picked out in a previous season.
- Besting Plumlee and Ball on the hardcourt was Trevor's selection Jordan Poole. The Warriors guard had 32 PRA in his 2022-23 Challenge debut.
- But our top scorer of the night was Houston's Kevin Porter Jr. A second top score of the season for the Rockets poin guard netted Ryan 36 PRA in Boston.
- Optimally, a regular season performance for the ages came from Luka Doncic. A 60/21/10 triple-double from the Slovenian standout would have been 91 PRA in the pocket of any potential backer as Dallas beat New York in OT.
