- After a lackluster All-Star Saturday night, the mid-season showcase had some work to do and boy did it ever with a 163-160 final.
- Trevor and Lou didn't find much joy in the Pick One sense though. Lou whiffed on both Last Man In options, both which would have been huge boosts. Trevor went with Team LeBron's Jimmy Butler who would go on to play the fewest minutes in the game behind the injured Chris Paul, who came in for an applause cameo, and put up a putrid 3 PRA.
- Al didn't fare much better with Team Durant's Rudy Gobert. The Stifle Tower made all of his shots but he only was able to take three of them which left him in the end with 12 PRA.
- LaMelo Ball got his first non-Triple Double Down selection of the season with Ryan taking him. The All-Star debutante had 24 PRA in 22 minutes and was Team Durant's third-leading scorer on the night.
- Ryan is now the only man with Dejounte Murray left at his disposal after Matt took the other first time All-Star in this game. The injury replacement for Draymond Green had 27 PRA for Team Durant in defeat.
- But drawing the luckiest Last Man In straw in 2021-22 so far was Colin with All-Star Game MVP, top and optimal scorer, and new holder of the record for most three-pointers in an All-Star Game, Stephen Curry. His 57 PRA in Team LeBron's victory was the second-highest veteran non-Triple Double Down total on the season.
