- In typical Clippers fashion, after losing the first two games against Phoenix they clawed out a win in Game 3 to make a back-to-back Suns In 4 prophecy a non-starter.
- Speaking of non-starters, there were surprisingly few taken this late in the Pick One. Only Luke Kennard (Matt F.) and DeMarcus Cousins (Mike) represented the bench for either side.
- In the last round against Utah Ivica Zubac would have also been in that posse but in dealing with Deandre Ayton, coach Tyronn Lue has deployed the 7-footer in a starting role to moderate success. Greg should be happy that it was a bit more than moderate in Game 3 as Zubac netted a double-double and top score with 32 PRA. Greg now has three straight top scores in the Conference Finals.
- Two more Clippers starters alongside Zubac entered the Six Timers Club as Terance Mann (Al/Lou) maintained his fill-in spot for the still injured Kawhi Leonard. Patrick Beverley (Ryan/Trevor) continued to start as well in place of the out of favor Nicolas Batum.
- Matt S. made Reggie Jackson the third Clipper behind Leonard and Paul George to be picked out and got the second-best score of the evening (27) for his troubles.
- If this series gets knotted up in Game 4, I'd imagine we'd see more than the one Sun, Andrew's selection of Jae Crowder, taken each game going forward.
