- Both Philadelphia and Dallas were able to draw their first blood of their respective series with Miami and Phoenix. That probably wasn't what our field was thinking as all six picks came from those two teams.
- With a combination of the Last Man In and one manual selection, Reggie Bullock became the first Mavericks player picked out this year and one of two that took their final Pick One bow on the night. Al, Colin, Lou, and Ryan each earned 21 PRA from the Dallas wing in his side's victory without him committing a single turnover.
- Our lone backer of the Sixers, and STILL (more on this shortly) game leader, Matt completed the picking out of Tyrese Maxey. He tied for the team lead with 21 points and was instrumental in neutralizing Miami's guard play all evening en route to 29 PRA in a win.
- But our top scorer was once again both a blessing and a curse. Five times this season Luka Doncic has been selected in the NBA Pick One Challenge. Five times this season the Triple Double Down chip has been used on him. Five times he has fallen agonizingly short and this time it stings even more. Doncic had five assists after one quarter against Phoenix yet finished with NINE to keep Trevor from triggering the TDD provision and leapfrogging Matt into first place. Instead, he'll have to take his optimal 48 PRA and hope Matt doesn't have a third Triple Double Down hit of the season up his sleeve this month.
- The evening's bench bargain was Maxi Kleber who had his fifth double-digit scoring game off the Dallas bench this postseason, finishing with 21 PRA.
