- We say goodbye to both our NBA finalists from a year ago as both the Bucks and Suns were bounced by the Celtics and Mavericks respectively.
- Neither team gave a great account on themselves with their exits but Phoenix's was clearly the worse of the two. Proof positive of this was Matt's pick Devin Booker not making his first shot until the 5 minute mark of the third quarter finishing with a measly 16 PRA.
- That matched the total put forth by Milwaukee's Bobby Portis. Ryan's selection led all Milwaukee substitutes with those 16 PRA which included 2 of the only 4 threes made by the club against the Celtics.
- Two picks were made from teams that advanced, the first being Colin's selection Dorian Finney-Smith. DFS did the majority of his work defensively in this one which is great in real life but in the Pick One only nets you 14 PRA in 30 minutes.
- The aforementioned second selection from a winning side was Al's pick Jayson Tatum. He wasn't as prolific as he was in Game 6, but the All-Star was still stellar in getting his team through to the Conference Finals with 37 PRA.
- But that was only enough for second place on the day as Trevor sent Giannis Antetokounmpo off in style with the night's optimal score of 54 PRA. His second such score in his final two selections, the Greek superstar tried his mightiest to will the defending champions back over the hump, but to no avail.
- The night's bench bargains both came from each side of Dallas/Phoenix, yet their heights were reached in very different fashions. Spencer Dinwiddie (35 PRA) was Dallas' second-leading scorer as Dallas punished Phoenix with their smaller lineup while Ish Wainwright (28 RBPRA) gobbled up buckets down a billion as both teams emptied their benches.
