- The Heat and Celtics played like it was 1999 as the latter went up 3-2 heading into a Game 6 in their building.
- After being the leading man in Game 4, Victor Oladipo crashed back to Earth in Game 5 even with Tyler Herro still sidelined. Trevor saw his selection earn just 8 PRA as he turned the ball over more times than he scored points.
- Max Strus' run of futility from the field continued as he missed every shot including seven from distance. But unlike Al in Game 4, Ryan got four free throws from Miami's starting shooting guard in his final selection for 9 PRA.
- Inversely, Robert Williams III didn't miss from the field. Granted it was only two shots, but that with a pair of free throws combined with double-digits rebounds provided Lou with Last Man In loot in the amount of 16 PRA.
- Leading all Heat players in rebounds with 11, PJ Tucker provided many a second opportunity for his club. But in his own right he didn't capitalize on many himself as he missed all but one three point attempt to finish with 20 PRA for Matt.
- That means even though Jimmy Butler has been held in check for the past three games, he did enough to earn Al the evening's top score with 23 PRA. To put in perspective those clamps Boston has put on, Butler had more PRA in Game 1 than he has in the past three games COMBINED.
- Optimally, Matt was the only person who could have selected Jaylen Brown and his 30 PRA in the win. Many more could have had bench bargain Gabe Vincent (19 PRA) and the only rookie to see the floor on the evening Omer Yurtseven (4 RBPRA).
