- The Eastern Conference Finals are now knotted at 1 after a resounding victory by the Boston Celtics over the Miami Heat.
- But if you look at the selection patterns for this one, we surely believed that this was going to be a 2-0 deficit for the C's.
- Al was the only person to go with a Heat player. PJ Tucker struggled with the speed Boston played at throughout the better part of the game which limited his time on the court. He netted just 10 PRA in 22 minutes.
- It may not have been the blowout Colin was banking on that triggered it, but his selection Aaron Nesmith did eventually get into Game 2. However, he didn't get much done in seven minutes grabbing just one rebound and missing all three of his shot attempts.
- Both of Boston's returning starters paid dividends in their victory, but Trevor's selection did significantly less in the PRA sense. He played 33 minutes in his return from health and safety protocols, but only had 16 PRA to show for it.
- That 16 PRA was enough to inch him ever so closer to Matt though as he got 14 PRA from Payton Pritchard. Realistically though, I think the second-year guard will care more that he was a +39 for his team in Game 2.
- In closing, the stars of Game 2 were the co-Last Man In users Lou and Ryan with Jaylen Brown. Add the blowout factor and some finicky fouls and his ceiling of 35 PRA was probably spot on.
- Optimally, it was the other Celtic returning from the sidelines that took the top possible score. Marcus Smart nearly triple-doubled in Game 2, finishing with 45 PRA in the win. Grant Williams was back in business as the bench bargain with 23 PRA while Miami's Omer Yurtseven paced rookies with 14 RBPRA off the pine.
