- It was a very Western Conference-friendly night in the Pick One with both of the top scorers coming from Western clubs.
- Once Stephen Curry was wiped out by Marcus Smart, there wasn't much impetus for the Celtics to put their foot on the gas against the Warriors. That didn't help Al's selection of his namesake Al Horford who took just five shots in 32 minutes finishing his evening with 12 PRA.
- Both Lou and Ryan went with Gary Trent Jr. against the Clippers, the former through the Last Man In provision. The Raptors were victorious but GTJ shot an abysmal 1-of-9 from the field capping said win with only 13 PRA.
- After earning top score a couple days ago, Terry Rozier came back down to Earth a bit against Atlanta. It is not that he played bad in any way but a more balanced attack from Charlotte (all starters with 12+ points) left Trevor's selection with 23 PRA in the end.
- The high man for non-rookies on the evening came from the namesake of the funnest Wordle rip-off going, Jakob Poeltl. Matt got a double-double from the Spurs center en route to a 30 PRA night versus Oklahoma City.
- But taking home his second top score in two selection days is Portland's Brandon Williams. The Blazers have been regular passengers on the struggle bus over the past few weeks yet are still just a game and a half out of the final spot in the Western Conference playoffs due to contributions from the likes of Colin's pick who had 36 rookie-boosted PRA against the Knicks.
- Optimally, there weren't any 60-point scorers on the night but Joel Embiid came close in PRA terms with 57 in Philadelphia's hard-fought victory over the Cavaliers. Bones Hyland and Jordan Clarkson continued their bench bargain dominance with 56 rookie-boosted PRA and 32 PRA respectively in their teams' wins.
