- There were points to be had throughout the league with many a high-scoring game, yet somehow we navigated those options quite poorly.
- Misery loves company and now Matt has some as Al's pick Bones Hyland joined Josh Primo in the basement for rookie scoring in the 2021-22 Pick One Challenge. Hyland collected just one rebound for a rookie-boosted 2 PRA in nine minutes against the Thunder. Denver wasn't ever really able to pull away and let the second unit run free.
- Not far ahead on the daily leaderboard was Lou's Last Man In Stanley Johnson. After scoring the opening bucket of the night for the Lakers, he only took three more shots, missing them all, and finished with a meager 5 PRA as Los Angeles lost to Memphis.
- The evening's other Laker taken, Malik Monk, didn't fare much better for Colin. He tripled Johnson's production to the tune of 15 PRA but still was in the lower half of the daily scores in defeat.
- While Hyland floundered off the bench, Matt's pick Aaron Wiggins showed he could at least be serviceable in a reserve role having been a starter for a good while. He had a rookie-boosted 24 PRA yet the Thunder still fell just short.
- Josh Green made his first ever appearance in the Pick One Challenge as Ryan selected him versus Chicago. A career scoring high, 25 PRA, and a win against a top Eastern Conference side is one hell of a debut if you ask me.
- Taking their 2021-22 Pick One bow was our day's top scorer Anfernee Simons. He continues to be the center of the universe in Portland without Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum out and finished a Blazers win over Sacramento with 40 PRA.
- Optimally, Karl-Anthony Towns was outstanding in Minnesota's bludgeoning of Houston. He had 56 PRA and was a +27 in the win. For bench bargains, the rookie was on the receiving end of Towns' fury in Houston's Josh Christopher. The swingman had a rookie-boosted 52 PRA which tied for second best overall. Terrence Ross continued making Orlando's half of box scores look incredibly lopsided with 36 PRA off the pine.
