- A chase day was upon us in the Pick One as the day's three lowest scores came from our top three participants on the leaderboard in order.
- Matt made it two single digit showings in a row as the heavily-resting Warriors went with a deep bench against New Orleans rendering his pick Gary Payton II fairly ineffective and finishing the loss with just 5 PRA.
- Trevor tried to ride a recent hot hand with Detroit's Hamidou Diallo, but they collectively threw up the white flag fairly early against Memphis and the wing only netted 19 PRA in a blowout defeat.
- Ryan was the only one of the top three to try to snake a Bench Bargain and came fairly close to getting the best one in Tyus Jones. Nevertheless, the backup point guard's 22 PRA was still the third-lowest of the evening.
- It is now four rookies, and two Juniors, in a row for Al after going with the Clippers' Brandon Boston Jr. The leading scorer off the Los Angeles bench earned a rookie-boosted 28 PRA in defeat.
- Opposing Boston and company was Lou's Last Man In Cameron Johnson. Usually a third banana at most for the Suns, Johnson led the team in scoring with a solid shooting night and finished the win with 32 PRA.
- But for the second straight day our top score went to Colin with yet another rookie. Only Lou has Cade Cunningham left now after Colin picked the #1 overall pick and got a rookie-boosted 46 PRA. Cunningham is the second rookie thus far to be one pick away from being picked out (Chris Duarte).
- Optimally, you could have had your pick from one of the two teams in the only game of the evening that didn't see a single selection. Both Jayson Tatum and Evan Fournier finished the instant classic in MSG with 51 PRA apiece. The veteran Bench Bargain also came from that one in the form of Boston's Dennis Schroder and his 28 PRA. Our rookie Bench Bargain came from that aforementioned bench dump by Golden State as lottery pick Jonathan Kuminga had a rookie-boosted 40 PRA in their loss.
