- The Pick One Angel of Death struck again. Having already damned the likes of De'Aaron Fox and Bradley Beal, Trevor put Dejounte Murray on the shelf for the Hawks after just four minutes against the Knicks, finishing on a season-low 2 PRA in the defeat.
- Acting as a deputy to that grimmest of reapers was the pair of Last Man In recipients. Matt fell back into last place overall with only 7 PRA from Phoenix's Mikal Bridges while on the other end of the court Lou got 20 PRA from Boston's Grant Williams to finish third from the bottom on the evening. The Celtics were the last team to garner a selection in the Challenge.
- After setting records in his last selection, Indiana rookie Andrew Nembhard came back to the mean under Colin's backing. He had 32 RBPRA in the Pacers' loss to the Timberwolves on the road.
- But our top scorers were our two top overall scorers. Nobody should be left aghast to see Al in this position but an up and down December for Ryan leaves some with a raised eyebrow seeing him here. Chicago's Zach LaVine (Al) and Charlotte's Kelly Oubre Jr. (Ryan) each had 37 PRA against the Wizards and Nets respectively.
- Optimally, either Matt or Trevor could have taken Julius Randle who showed out against the Hawks. A double-double and 56 PRA with a W to boot, Randle made the most of this showcase matchup.
