- It was a chase day here in the NBA Pick One Challenge as the top three on our leaderboard posted the three worst scores of the day.
- Our top two competitors picked both the starting (Malcolm Brogdon/Al) and backup (TJ McConnell/Ryan) point guards for the Indiana Pacers and earned 22 and 14 PRA respectively in Indiana's win over the Pelicans.
- Another pair of teammates came off the board via the Last Man In provision which saw Lou get "Step One" Richaun Holmes for 29 PRA. Since Matt had already taken Holmes previously, he got "Step Two" Harrison Barnes for 31 PRA in a loss to Utah. Be aware folks that the Kings pool is already getting really shallow so don't think they'll be a viable Get Out of Jail Free card for much longer and they often play the last game of a given day.
- The last "pair" of our picks for the day came from Houston/New York and in this case it was a pair of opponents in RJ Barrett (Colin) and Jalen Green (Trevor). It was a big bench game in terms of minutes for the Knicks so it wasn't a shock to see Barrett finish with only 14 PRA even against the lowly Rockets. However, despite it ending up as top score of the day, it was a tad sad to see Jalen Green get less usage than Jae'Sean Tate in the loss and end up with a rookie-boosted 40 PRA.
- Optimally, Giannis Antetokounmpo continues to run roughshod over his opponents. Against Orlando he went for 57 PRA including a season-high of 20 rebounds, which came one game after his previous season-high of 19. In terms of Bench Bargains, the best vet bargain came from the same game as the Greek Freak's big day with RJ Hampton nearly doubling-doubling his way to 33 PRA for the Magic. For rookies, it was another solid outing for the lesser-known Rockets first-year man Alperen Sengun who finished just 2 PRA behind Jalen Green with a rookie-boosted 38.
