- Three pairs of teammates were selected on the evening and in each case one significantly outshined the other.
- In Oklahoma City, Al's recent rookie run continued with Josh Giddey continuing to show that he doesn't necessarily kill it in one category but damn sure contributes to every single one en route to a rookie-boosted 30 PRA. On the other hand, Trevor's pick Darius Bazley had his worst shooting game in a year and a half and finished with 11 PRA in the loss to Brooklyn.
- For the Clippers, Lou's charge Reggie Jackson had a poor shooting night himself yet still bested Bazley's effort with 18 PRA in the loss to Chicago. Matt benefited from the Last Man In provision getting 42 from Paul George, the second time the All-Star forward has been LMI'ed in 2021-22.
- It was across town with the Lakers though where we saw our best effort of the day. It wasn't from Carmelo Anthony whose return to the starting lineup only got Colin 20 PRA. Instead it was the man keeping Melo from being the first person completely picked out that got top score from another Laker. Ryan set the new standard to date with 55 PRA from Anthony Davis in LA's win over the Spurs. 179 PRA now separate him from the bottom of the standings.
- Optimally, as much as it pains to say, Trae Young was the best of the day going for 60 PRA in Atlanta's much-needed win over the Bucks. Bench Bargains included the Pick One's first top scorer way back on Opening Night, Patty Mills, who had 30 PRA with 29 pts and two players repping the rookies in Bones Hyland and Alperen Sengun netting a rookie-boosted 48 PRA apiece.
