- If there ever was a player that was cursed in the Pick One Challenge, it would certainly be Sacramento's De'Aaron Fox. For the third straight year, Fox left a selected game injured. After Al was the victim the prior two seasons, Trevor saw his pick limp off the court after attempting to take a charge (he was called for a blocking foul) and did not return against Charlotte. His 9 PRA is the third-lowest in the Pick One this season.
- Another team making backers scared is the Houston Rockets. Serial scratches with no sniff of an injury report have become commonplace for the Western Conference's worst team with Lou being the latest to see his selection (Jae'Sean Tate) snuffed out with no reasoning. At least he got to join Matt and Ryan in the Last Man In Lounge with Eric Gordon and his 16 PRA against the Clippers.
- Continuing the frightfulness of the evening was Al with Gordon's teammate Jalen Green. Last year's #2 pick shot 4-for-17 against Los Angeles and ended up with less PRA (18) than his PPG average (19) for the year.
- Rounding out the proceedings was our top scorer Colin with Indiana's Tyrese Haliburton. It is a shame that his 24 PRA was by far the lowest top total of 2022-23, but a win is a win nevertheless.
- Optimally, Paul George showed the power of the 5x5 provision in earning the optimal haul against the Rockets. He had 52 standard PRA in the victory but his 6 steals activated the final two stats in his line. With those six swipes and two blocks, PG13 finished with a score of 60.
