- There were just four games on the evening's schedule, all of them saw at least one player selected.
- With that being said, it took one participant's selection to save a day from being historically putrid.
- LeBron James sat out against the Knicks after being suspended for his actions against the Pistons. His two direct replacements, Talen Horton-Tucker (Trevor) in the starting lineup and Carmelo Anthony (Ryan) off the bench, were dreadful. THT was 0-for-8 from the field and finished with just 6 PRA while Anthony capped off being the first player picked out for 2021-22 with a 3-for-14 shooting night and only 15. For a frame of reference, with 9 participants last season the first player picked out came in March.
- Miami beat those aforementioned Pistons on the evening but Colin's selection Duncan Robinson was once again overshadowed by his counterpart off the bench, Tyler Herro. Robinson ended the contest with 14 PRA and we'll get to Herro's production in a bit.
- A pair of Bosnian big men rounded out the pack in the teens with Matt's pick Jusuf Nurkic netting 16 PRA against his former club while Ivica Zubac paced the non-top score field as a Last Man In for Lou with 19.
- Had it not been for Al's pick CJ McCollum going for 38 PRA in Portland's win over Denver, we could have had our lowest non-playoff top score ever. Kudos to Portland for giving the shooting guard 34 minutes when they easily could have taken their foot off the gas against the Jokic-less Nuggets.
- Optimally, we looked in the wrong direction for who would step up for the Lakers in the King's absence. Russell Westbrook had a massive triple-double in the loss with 54 PRA making Kemba Walker look rather pedestrian. For Bench Bargain, Tyler Herro had 42 PRA off the Heat bench which led all Miami players by a wide margin.
