- It was a very congested weekend in the Running Back Pick One with just 23 yards separating first from last place for Week 2.
- Bringing up the rear this week for Week 2, yet still retaining the overall lead, was Ryan with Jacksonville's James Robinson. 37 of his 64 yards came on one scamper which was incredibly beneficial as the other 27 came on 22 carries despite the Colts no-showing.
- One yard up the weekly ladder was Rachel with Tampa Bay's Leonard Fournette. He had an equally frustrating time in the Buccaneers' win over the Saints with 65 yards on 24 attempts.
- Our lone double selection of the week came in the form of New York's Saquon Barkley. Both Buddy and Scott backed the leading runner of Week 1 and got 72 yards as the Giants went to 2-0 over the Panthers.
- Jeff was our weekly silver medalist with the only pick from Thursday Night Football, Kansas City's Clyde Edwards-Helaire. His 52 yard scamper (with a 15 yard face mask tacked on the end) helped set up the field goal that provided the Chiefs with the winning margin over the Chargers. CEH finished with 74 yards overall.
- But our top scorer of the week was the man who probably shouldn't be the first name on the list of blamees in Cleveland's loss to the Jets. Trevor's pick Nick Chubb ran for 87 yards and three touchdowns against New York only to have that overshadowed by him going into the end zone rather than going down inbounds with the Jets being without a timeout and down. Maybe your kicker hits an extra point. Maybe you don't give up two touchdowns with an onside kick in between in 1:33 to Joe Flacco. Just spitballing here.
- Rant aside, the optimal scorer for Week 2 was Green Bay's Aaron Jones. As stated over in the QB Club recap, Chicago was in the ground by halftime which allowed for the Packers to stay on the ground. Jones had 132 of Green Bay's 203 total rushing yards against the Bears, his best output since December 2020.
