- As expected, Week 18 of the NFL season was bizarro world in the Pick One Challenge. Playoff preparation, late-season switches, and unreliable options deciding to come good all played roles in the chaos.
- Sadly, Ryan saw his end-of-year swoon continue with Dallas' Dak Prescott. With their role in the postseason already locked up, the Cowboys went into cruise control against Washington and Dak went for a meager 128 yards with his arm.
- New York will join Dallas in the postseason and also had their fate sealed for Wild Card weekend. Therefore, Matt took a punt on Davis Webb and karma took that sumbitch back for a touchdown as the Giants practice squad call-up had just 168 yards against the Eagles.
- Colin kept himself out of the bottom two by the skin of his teeth thanks to Jacksonville's Trevor Lawrence. In the nightcap of the Saturday games, Lawrence threw for 212 in a snoozer against Tennessee. The entertainment value won't matter to the Jags though as they make the playoffs appearance since 2017.
- Still vying to break the 4000 yard barrier for the season is Brittany after Geno Smith was unable to get her over the line by the end of the regular season. Smith had 213 passing yards in a win over the Rams to punch Seattle's ticket to the second season.
- Joe Burrow and the Bengals erased all need for every "doomsday" playoff scenario by taking care of business against the Ravens in Week 18. His 215 yards and a score for Jeff set up what amounts to a replay in the Wild Card round.
- Three participants selected Las Vegas' Jarrett Stidham after his breakout performance of Week 17. Scott and Trevor found themselves with 219 yards from the Raiders QB but Buddy added his final rushing bonus of the season to put his selection of Stidham on a score of 269 (2nice).
- Unfortunately for Detroit, Seattle's win left their game with Green Bay as a spoiler-only endeavor rather than a win-and-in proposition. Fortunately though for Rachel, Jared Goff was able to keep her in the top half of the table entering the postseason with 224 yards in that win over the Packers.
- It has to be the Al touch of magic to see Russell Wilson throw for the second-most yards in a week after a season of complete turmoil in Denver. Wilson went full "Let's Ride" with 283 yards as the Broncos ended a forgettable 2022-23 with a win over the playoff-bound Chargers.
- But the ultimate send-off and greatest fuck you of the NFL season came from Lenny's pick Davis Mills and the Houston Texans. Seemingly knowing he was on his way out, Lovie Smith unleashed the passing playbook with his struggling sophomore to the tune of 298 yards and a #1 pick-dropping two-point conversion to beat the Colts. It is a level of professionalism and pettiness that you can't help but admire.
- Optimally, Ravens rookie Anthony Brown would have netted you a score of 336 against Cincinnati riding that rookie bonus to the promised land.
