- Once again the Thursday and Monday Night Football games were completely neglected as neither of the four quarterbacks from those games were selected.
- As strange as it feels to say this, maybe Geno Smith would have been a better choice for the Morrises as the Seattle backup nearly had as many yards in the first half against New Orleans (110) as Sam Darnold did for the entirety (111) of Carolina's loss to the Giants.
- Our fifth different rookie QB was taken this week as Matt F. went with Justin Fields against the Buccaneers. While Chicago was handily disposed of by the defending champs, Matt was able to push his way out of last place with the rookie boosted score of 234 after Sam Darnold's aforementioned pants-shitting.
- Brittany's selection of Taylor Heinicke made the NFC East the most selected NFC division through seven weeks and while he was the game's leading rusher against the Packers, those yards do not factor to the 268 passing yards she had added to her score for the week.
- Seeing Tennessee handle the Chiefs so decisively was a bit jarring but just as much so was the fact that while Colin's pick Ryan Tannehill kept him in second place with 270 passing yards, he threw just as many touchdowns as running back Derrick Henry, something that may be worrisome if tiebreakers come into play down the line.
- It is now consecutive 300+ yard weeks for Scott as Matthew Stafford went for 334 in putting his old club Detroit out to pasture. Stafford has yet to go under that mark in any of his three selections to date.
- Only two selected quarterbacks faced off with one another in Week 7 and those were Tua Tagovailoa (Al) and Matt Ryan (Matt S.). Matty Ice both won the game itself and the yardage battle (336-291) but Al is currently still winning this war by retaining his third place position.
- However, Al is just one yard ahead of our top scorer for the week, Trevor. Mac Jones was superb in beating the ever-living piss out of the Jets with a rookie boosted score of 357 which bettered the first rounder's 331 total from Week 1. Less than half the field has Jones left at their disposal with way over half of the season left to play.
- And while he may not have snared top score for the week, Ryan still continued to be our overall leader after 323 yards from Derek Carr in Las Vegas' win over the Eagles. He's still more than 200 yards clear of second place as we head into a lighter bye week in Week 8 with just the Raiders and Ravens taken out of play.
- Optimally, Joe Burrow continues to be a though provoking figure in the Pick One. He went for a league-best 416 yards in Week 7 which makes him a very attractive candidate for selection even against quality opponents like Baltimore. But, can you afford to use him early on if you think the Bengals have a decent chance at finally having a decent playoff run with a healthy Burrow? Choices must be made.
