- We've reached the point in the NFL season where we are regularly taking backup QBs and third and fourth stringers are finding their way onto the pick grid.
- After the Rudolph incident from last Monday Night (and oddly enough Rudolph actually played this week) Matt F. turned to Carolina's PJ Walker who was in for an injured Sam Darnold. While his 167 yards wasn't exactly the low bar of Week 10, it was the return of Cam Newton against the Cardinals that overshadowed him and may put him back with the clipboard in Week 11.
- But speaking of that low bar, Ryan clings to his lead ever so slightly but without the aid of overtime it would have been gone. Jared Goff nearly doubled his four quarters of production in the extra period ending with 114 yards in a TIE against Pittsburgh. Yes, games can end in ties.
- Trevor was really hoping for somebody in just double digits to gloss over the fact that the Falcons got absolutely pasted by the Cowboys. Furthermore, despite being down close to a million at the half, Matt Ryan still only accumulated 117 yards by game's end.
- Both Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson made their returns in Seattle's shutout loss to Green Bay, yet unluckily for Kait she went with the losing QB and ended up with just 161 yards. Maybe he should have looked for a pregame pep talk from Joe Rogan.
- Greg was able to keep himself out of the basement for another week as Jalen Hurts game-managed his Eagles to a sound victory over Denver, ending with 178 passing yards.
- There was a rare Thursday night selection as Colin went with Lamar Jackson against the Dolphins. While the Ravens lost and LJ8's 238 yards looked poor at the time, after Sunday it looked oh so rosier.
- For Matt S., he rode the lightning with Mike White and luckily for him this Pick One is all about passing yards so those four brutal interceptions he threw against the Bills mean nothing outside of possible tiebreakers. The 251 yards through the air, even with Joe Flacco making a cameo, meant a return to the top half of the table.
- Who had Taylor Heinicke winning a quarterback duel with the greatest to play the position? Well, Al did and got 256 yards, now 9 shy of the lead, for the sentiment.
- Scott was looking for back-to-back top scores from Justin Herbert but alas the Chargers QB didn't become the first person to earn top score twice with just 195 yards. That honor went to Brittany's pick Kirk Cousins who went for 294 in the win and bagged his second top score after getting it done in Week 1. The 294 passing yards may be the lowest total to win a week so far, but looking at these totals we are definitely grading on a curve at this point.
- Optimally, let's just say rumors of Patrick Mahomes' demise have been greatly exaggerated as he threw for 406 and 5 TD's as the Chiefs did the old mirror score win over Las Vegas on the road.
