- We went from 14 teams to 8 after the events of the first weekend of the NFL Playoffs.
- As one would expect from a bevy of high scoring contests, there weren't many duds to be had on Wild Card Weekend.
- However, we had some debuts, both from the same game. Ryan's pick Skylar Thompson became the third Dolphins QB selected this year matching the dubious total of the Bears and Panthers from a year ago. Miami came up short in the end against the Bills, but with the rookie bonus Ryan was able to keep himself out of the drop zone with a score of 270.
- Minnesota also saw their way out of the postseason with a loss to the Giants. Kirk Cousins didn't completely fall apart as per the usual in a big spot, but he did finish second to last with only 273 yards for Trevor in said defeat.
- The only other QB to finish below 300 yards for the weekend was Lenny's pick Trevor Lawrence. For all the woes of his first half against the Chargers, Lawrence made up for it in spades in the second to get to 288 yards passing as well as to the next round of the playoffs.
- Colin was the lone backer of Daniel Jones against the Vikings. The Vanilla Vick had 301 yards passing and also led the G-Men in rushing in the win. Alas, Colin did not use his second and final rushing bonus of the campaign on Danny Dimes.
- A whopping six participants either wanted to use Dak Prescott before the Cowboys got bounced or felt he was going to torch a beleaguered Bucs defense. Regardless of intent, Al, Brittany, Buddy, Jeff, Matt, and Scott ended up with 305 yards, 4 touchdowns, and 0 interceptions from the Cowboys QB in a rout of Tampa Bay.
- But our second debut of the season from Miami/Buffalo, and top scorer for the round, was Rachel's pick Josh Allen. The Bills signal caller had a roller coaster day against the Dolphins but in the end netted 352 yards and progressed to the divisional round.
- Optimally, Brock Purdy rode the rookie bonus to the top possible score of 382 as the 49ers ended up comfortably dispatching the Seahawks despite a couple early hiccups.
