- We had joint leaders in the RB By Committee Pick One Challenge coming into Week 5. They each had substantially different results after Week 5's proceedings.
- Scott tumbled from a tie for first to fourth after just 27 rushing yards were gained by Jacksonville's James Robinson. Robinson was third on the scoresheet for rushing in the loss to Houston finished by Travis Etienne Jr. and Trevor Lawrence.
- Doubling Robinson for the week was Trevor's pick Christian McCaffrey. Run-CMC's 54 yards was not enough to push Trevor past Scott in the overall standings nor was it any help in getting the Panthers to beat the 49ers.
- Our first of a record four selections over 100 yards in Week 5 was Buddy's pick Derrick Henry. Tennessee's bruiser went for 102 on the ground as the Titans won their third straight game on the trot versus Washington.
- Sharing the spoils of another massive week from Nick Chubb was Jeff and Rachel. Cleveland's lead back went for 134 and two touchdowns in a losing effort to the Chargers. It was the first 100+ yard outing for either participant thus far for the RB Pick One.
- But maintaining his top spot in the standings was Ryan with Las Vegas' Josh Jacobs. The Raiders runner benefited immensely from the Monday night shootout with the Chiefs finishing with 154 yards on 21 carries although unfortunately his club fell one point short of victory in the end.
- Optimally, it was truly a running back duel in Cleveland as Los Angeles' Austin Ekeler was the best possible selection for Week 5. He ran for 173 yards and a touchdown on just 16 carries including a 71 yard scamper that led to his team's opening points.
