- It will be interesting to see strategies form as temperatures drop across the country. Will certain regions be neglected or will talent win out regardless of weather?
- I bring up weather because it played a huge factor as to why Ryan is no longer in the lead in the QB Club Challenge. The Colts relied heavily on Jonathan Taylor in their rainy win over the Bills, rendering Carson Wentz a game manager and only seeing him throw for 106 yards.
- Greg's pick Joe Burrow had a similar reliance on the running game for the Bengals. Joe Mixon's best game of 2021 allowed Burrow to pick his spots and eat clock which worked well in game but for Pick One purposes ended up being less than ideal with just 148 yards.
- However, that gameplan from Cincinnati had dual effects as it kept Derek Carr off the field for all but 22 minutes and change. Matt S. and Kait couldn't have been happy seeing him tie his season-low for attempts with 27 and end with just 215 yards.
- Personally I don't think the 49ers needed to employ a ball control philosophy against the Jaguars, but when a team can't stop you sometimes it just happens. Colin's pick Jimmy Garoppolo just happened to be a victim of circumstance and ended with 176 yards in the decisive victory.
- With Ryan falling to second place, it was only fitting given the history of the Pick One Challenge across all sports that Al was the one that took his place at the top. Cam Newton lost his full starting return to Carolina, but his 189 passing yards were at least helpful to our new game leader. Al also became the first participant to break 3000 yards for the year.
- Russell Wilson still looks like a man playing at 50% or less, but at least he broke his three-game streak of sub-200 yard games with 207 for Brittany against the Cardinals.
- In a game in which Michael Irvin predicted the all-time single-game scoring record would be broken, the Chiefs and Cowboys finished 19-9 and Trevor's pick Dak Prescott, who many had as their best fantasy pick of the week, finished with 216 yards.
- The lone rookie selected for Week 11 was Scott's selection Mac Jones. It was an easy day at the office on Thursday Night Football for the Alabama product as Scott saw him rack up a rookie-boosted score of 257 against a completely flat Atlanta Falcons. Only Matt S. and Ryan stand between Jones being the first QB picked out for 2021.
- And finally with a much-needed top score we had Matt F. with 273 yards from Tua Tagovailoa. A game-time decision against the Jets, the lefty gave Matt his second top score in four weeks and pulled him out of the basement heading into Week 12.
- Optimally, Aaron Rodgers' 385 yards against the Vikings was the best of the week. Despite that outlay and four touchdowns, the Packers still lost to their division rivals and lost the top seed in the NFC for the time being.
