- Mistakes were made this week in both the Challenge and on the field.
- Our most glaring one was Miami seemingly not caring if Tua Tagovailoa turned his brain into baby food against the Bengals. After a scary scene against Buffalo, Buddy put his faith in the Dolphins' medical staff only for a horrific head smack on the turf (which I won't link) leaving the lefty with just 110 yards passing in the Challenge. More importantly Tua's season and potentially career in jeopardy as the league revisits their concussion protocols...again.
- Had that not happened, it would have been a second straight week at the bottom for Atlanta's Marcus Mariota. Like before, his Falcons were victorious so he won't care that he provided Brittany only 139 passing yards against the Browns.
- The Sieczkiewicz clan once again was looking for answers as a unit because right in front of his wife was Matt with Washington's Carson Wentz. He went Full Wentz against the Cowboys averaging just 4.0 yards per attempt with two interceptions en route to a 170 total passing offense.
- Trevor Lawrence was the lone double selection of the week. The Jaguars QB only doubled the dismay of both Rachel and Ryan netting them 174 yards apiece in Jacksonville's loss to the Eagles.
- It sounds crazy to say but the Cowboys may be able to hold out Dak Prescott a bit longer if Cooper Rush continues to win games. Rush is now 4-0 as a starter for America's Team, but his first selection this season did not replicate his one from last year as he earned Lenny just 223 passing yards in victory.
- Colin is still in search of his first 300+ yard game after going with Cleveland's Jacoby Brissett in Week 4. The journeyman signal caller kept his Browns within striking distance yet keeps Colin far off the pace with a 234 yard performance through the air against Atlanta.
- One person who is going to feel the most hard done by the week's proceedings is Scott. He did enough to keep his overall lead with 237 yards passing from Denver's Russell Wilson, but he pivoted (and understandably so) from Detroit's Jared Goff (378 passing yards vs Seattle) following a brutal injury list reveal.
- Firing off the first shot in his rushing yards added rifle in regrettable fashion was Trevor with Philadelphia's Jalen Hurts. The Eagles stayed undefeated against Jacksonville but Hurts had his lowest passing yards (204) and second-lowest rushing total (38) in four weeks to finish on a boosted total of 242.
- Al made it three straight weeks with someone selecting Seattle's Geno Smith. And for the second straight week that selection was rewarded with over 300 yards passing. This time it was 320 and a pair of touchdowns as the Seahawks and Lions played Madden on rookie for a 48-45 final score in favor of Seattle.
- But earning the top score, after doing so a record three times last season, was Los Angeles' Justin Herbert. Jeff got 340 yards from the arm of the Chargers QB who bounced back nobly against Houston after a rough outing against the Jaguars in Week 3. They'll take on Cleveland in Week 5.
- Optimally, there was no real expectation of somebody pulling the trigger on Tom Brady in Week 4, but if someone had they would have had the best possible score of 385 from the ageless one's Sunday Night Football showing.
