- There was a lot of Lenny plagiarism in Week 5 and none of it was flattering.
- The first of it furthered Ryan's continuing nightmare that is the Receiving Corps Pick One Challenge. Cincinnati's Tee Higgins became the second blank of the season following Kadarius Toney in Week 1. Higgins limped off of the Bengals Sunday Night Football loss with the Ravens with an ankle injury without even a single target.
- Our second bit of biting was using a running back which Buddy did with Philadelphia's Miles Sanders. It went slightly better than Higgins but that isn't setting the highest of bars. Sanders had two catches for six yards against the Cardinals on three targets.
- Scott will be kicking himself after a last second pivot put Kansas City's Travis Kelce on his scoresheet rather than Las Vegas' Davante Adams. While Kelce's four touchdowns were pivotal to the Chiefs ultimately winning on Monday Night Football, and for potential tiebreakers in the Challenge, but his 25 yards paled in comparison to Adams' 124 for the opposition.
- With Ryan's misfortune, Lenny was able to drag himself out of last place in this Challenge with the other Bengals WR taken in Week 5, Ja'Marr Chase. His 50 yards were enough for Lenny to escape the overall basement but couldn't help Cincinnati beat the Ravens. It was the second time in five weeks that we had multiple picks from the same team in the Receiving Corps Challenge in the same week.
- Romeo Doubs had a 22 yard catch on a touchdown drive for Green Bay midway through the first quarter in London against the Giants. Unluckily for Jeff he only had 7 yards the remainder of the game which the Packers eventually lost to the G-Men. The rookie bonus helped keep his blushes light with a boosted score of 54.
- Chris Olave was the second rookie taken for Week 5 as the Saints bested the Seahawks. The Ohio State product scored for a second straight week and with the rookie bonus got Trevor into second for the week with a score of 79 and kept him first overall.
- But the weekly winner was Rachel with Los Angeles' Cooper Kupp. The usual shining light in an otherwise dim afternoon for the Rams, Kupp had 125 yards receiving and a touchdown as the defending Super Bowl champions fell 22-10 to the Cowboys.
- Optimally, Gabriel Davis needed only three catches to set the pace for Week 5. The Bills wideout's first two catches went 98 for a touchdown and 62 for another before a paltry 11 yard reception left him with a total of 171 yards receiving.
