- It was not a banner week for former MVP's in the QB Club Pick One Challenge.
- Aaron Rodgers' Packers not only loss to the meandering Commanders, he was the low man on the weekly leaderboard. It took significant amounts of fourth quarter heaving to get Matt and Rachel's selection to 194 passing yards in defeat.
- At least Rodgers will be starting in Week 8. The same cannot be said for Indianapolis' Matt Ryan after the Colts' loss to the Titans. He was able to get Buddy, Jeff, and Scott 243 yards in what could potentially be his final game in the blue and white before going to the bench in favor of Sam Ehlinger next week. With those yards Scott became the first participant to break 2000 total yards for the season
- The final fallen hero may have done well enough Challenge-wise to earn third place for the week, but the indignity of losing handily to the Panthers was quite damaging to Tom Brady. Colin and Ryan got 290 yards from the Bucs legend but no touchdowns along with it in a 21-3 drubbing.
- Lenny and Trevor rounded out the sub-300 yard contingent with a couple of Week 7 winners. Lenny got 261 from Miami's Tua Tagovailoa who looked back in form in a Sunday Night victory. Trevor had heart palpitations when Derek Carr went down in the opening moments of Raiders/Texans, but he would come back to throw for 241 in a win over Houston.
- Maintaining second place overall with a second place finish for the week was Al with his team's QB, Jimmy Garoppolo. Jimmy G didn't end up capable of going toe-to-toe with Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs yet still got 303 yards through the air in a losing effort.
- But our top scorer for the week, thanks to the second rookie bonus of 2022, was Brittany with her team's new QB, Kenny Pickett. It was a mixture of poise and pain for Pittsburgh's first round pick against the Dolphins with 257 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions. Nevertheless, with that aforementioned bonus, Brittany was able to get her first top score of the season and put herself within six yards of getting out of the Pick One basement.
- Optimally, Joe Burrow threw for 481 yards and three touchdowns as the Bengals cruised past the listless Falcons 35-17 at home.
