- The holiday football didn't leave many presents but plenty of coal in our participants' Pick One stockings. Bad weather and bad matchups made the week quite the minefield to traverse.
- Lenny got the worst of it with Cleveland's Deshaun Watson. The Browns' $200m man had another outing to forget in a loss to the Saints on Christmas Eve netting just 135 yards through the air.
- Indianapolis became the second team (Jets being the other) to have three different quarterbacks selected in the Challenge. Scott had his second Colt of the season in Nick Foles fall far from his past pace with only 143 yards passing in an embarrassing Monday Night Football loss to the Chargers.
- Our first of two rookies selected for Week 16 was Jeff's pick Malik Willis. Things would have looked slightly better had the Titans rookie was dubbed a rushing bonus candidate (43 yards) but alas that was not the case and the rookie bonus brought him up to third from the bottom with a score of 149 in a bad defeat to the Texans.
- The shock result of Week 16 was the wounded Rams absolutely dismantling the hapless Broncos 51-14. Baker Mayfield was a more than capable ship steerer during the blowout earning Brittany and Ryan 230 yards in the win.
- Only Scott has reigning MVP Aaron Rodgers left at his disposal after Colin took him in Week 16. Rodgers kept his Packers alive in the NFC playoff race with 238 yards against Miami.
- Another multiple-time MVP was taken on the week in Al's selection Tom Brady. TB12 did the same for Tampa's postseason hopes as Rodgers did for Green Bay's with 281 yards in a win over the Cardinals on the road.
- Gaining a little bit of ground towards the top of the table was Buddy thanks to San Francisco rookie Brock Purdy. With the rookie bonus, Purdy had a score of 284 which put Buddy over 4000 yards for the season and three yards closer to game leader Al.
- But although his performance fell off a cliff and he may be in the concussion protocol again, Tua Tagovailoa became the first two-time top scorer of the season in the QB Club Pick One Challenge. Matt, Rachel, and Trevor benefited from the 310 yards Tua put up against Green Bay.
- Optimally, Cincinnati's Joe Burrow willed the Bengals to a win over the Patriots needing all of his 375 yards throwing to do so.
