- One of two maiden voyages in the NFL Pick One ocean is the Running Back By Committee Challenge! The lowest participated challenge may end up being the most competitive.
- Buddy continued his all-Chargers play for Week 1 with Austin Ekeler. The versatile back had just as many rushing yards as he had receiving yards in his team's win over the Raiders. Unluckily for Buddy that total was just 36.
- Sunday Night Football was a slog for the viewers but even more so for the Cowboys. They lost their starting quarterback, lost the game, and looked horrendous against Tampa Bay in every facet of the sport. In the Pick One, Trevor had to be thrilled to get 52 yards from Ezekiel Elliott on just 10 carries. It could have been much worse given the circumstances.
- Antonio Gibson was both Washington's leading rusher (58) and receiver (72) against the Jaguars. For the sake of this Challenge, that former figure of rushing yards was what Scott got in the Commanders victory while the latter is a statement that it shouldn't just be receivers and tight ends looked at in the Receiving Corps Challenge.
- Derrick Henry wasn't his dominant self against the Giants yet still rushed the ball 21 times for 82 yards. Rachel's pick was sadly overshadowed by what his understudy did in the passing game, but it should be noted that since 2020 Henry has only gone back-to-back double digits in rushing yards once in the regular season.
- Earning the week's silver medal was Jeff with Philadelphia's Miles Sanders. He rushed for 96 yards against the Lions and was one of four different Eagles to get into the end zone against the Lions on the ground.
- But making it 2-for-2 thus far in NFL Pick One top scores across all games is Ryan with Atlanta's Cordarrelle Patterson. Patterson rushed a career-high 22 times for a career-high 120 yards and a touchdown against the Saints.
- Optimally, Saquon Barkley started his redemption tour with aplomb against Tennessee. His 164 yards on the ground was the third-highest single game output of his career and by far the best post-injury. He will take on Carolina next week that just gave up 141 rushing yards to Nick Chubb.
