I was able to finally even my NFL record Sunday. I started off hot as my pick of the day, Detroit v. Pittsburgh, had the over by halftime. My biggest miss was Cleveland v. Cincinnati, an under 41.5 pick, in which Cincy almost hit the number by themselves. A win tonight would put me in the black and force me, by my own stupid declaration, back to the world of the spread next week where I will surely drop back into the doldrums of below averageness.

Carolina/New England OVER 46.5
Carolina's defense has been otherworldly this season, allowing more than twenty points just twice. Tonight's game is their first game in the spotlight and though I don't think they'll be embarrassed by any means, this will be their third game giving up 20+. On the other side, I think the Patriots will have a tough time dealing with Cam Newton. I see a 27-24 Pats win with most of the scoring coming very late, reminiscent of the two teams' Super Bowl matchup.
