It is the finally the end of May, which means in less than 24 hours I'll be able to once again take my shot at Streak for the Cash glory. In the mean time, I'm keeping my Tortoise vs the Hare strategy intact over on Beat the Streak. Let's see if I can keep, and build, momentum going into the new month.
Hunter Pence and the Giants were dominated by the Braves yesterday. With that being said, Pence still was able to scratch out a hit, putting me at a W7, my second best BTS run of 2015. While this latest streak has been about trying out some new hitters (Kipnis, Pence, Brantley), it is also about giving another chance to guys who have lost multiple times for me thus far. Jose Altuve hasn't record a hit his last two times out for me (SIPs 122 & 129). He gets a shot at redemption against the struggling John Danks. Altuve is 3-for-9 lifetime against the Chicago southpaw with a home run. Danks has a 1.45 WHIP in 2015 and is coming off two straight starts in which he got whooped. The W8 will be great.
While I continue to win on Beat the Streak, I'm trying to end the month on a high note on Streak for the Cash. I'll be taking the Arizona Diamondbacks this afternoon to beat the Milwaukee Brewers. Chase Anderson and the Snakes should easily handle the debuting Tyler Wagner. On to June! Keep an eye out on our Youtube channel in the coming days for a new (hopefully weekly) Streak show cleverly titled Streak Sharks. I promise they all won't be a million hours long. HAPPY STREAKING EVERYBODY!!!
