I feel nice and refreshed from my little hissy fit siesta yesterday. However, I come back to a brutal board on both Streak games and possibly the end of the road on Drive to the Finals. Let's get to it shall we?
Yunel Escobar on Beat the Streak was my only selection yesterday in any game and it went pretty well. He went 2-for-4 even though the Nationals got smoked by the Rays 6-1. Today I take another solo mission with Mr. Miguel Cabrera. Miggy has never faced Reds rookie Michael Lorenzen, but I feel he'll tune up the lanky right hander just fine.
The Streak for the Cash board was littered with day baseball, Copa America, and Women's World Cup games today. All have been rather unreliable options for me lately so I decided, even though I have a long road ahead of me, to wait until the NBA Finals tonight to make a pick. I'll be taking a prop surrounding LeBron James, who may become the first losing Finals MVP since Jerry West in 1969. The prop is whether or not LeBron will lead the Cavs in points, rebounds, AND assists in the first half. Barring foul trouble or malaria, I think Tristan Thompson should outrebound the King in the first half. Speaking of LeBron though, he is also my pick on Drive to the Finals. Hopefully the series ends tonight so I don't have to take Shaun Livingston or Matthew Dellavedova in Game 7. HAPPY STREAKING EVERYBODY!!!
