Note to self: Never pick American tennis again. Never. Not even Serena Williams. Not even if the public has it at 100% to goose egg. Don't do it. Their opponent could be literally dead. Don't do it. You've lost whatever respect I had left for you. May is over and it is all your fault. I feel so unpatriotic right now.
As you can see, this is a rare afternoon edition of Streaking In Public. I almost didn't want to pick at all today but eventually I felt it would be a disservice to my readers (all one or two of you) to let some punk like John Isner get me down. Hell, I'm on a five streak on Beat The Streak. POSITIVITY!
Mike Trout turned around his recent trend of disappointment for me on Beat the Streak with a 1-for-4 yesterday against the Tigers. I go with another AL Central/AL West matchup today, but I'll be taking somebody from the AL Central team this time. Jason Kipnis has never faced Taijuan Walker before today, but if 2015 to date is any indication (Kipnis .345 BA, Walker 1.84 WHIP) he'll do just fine. W6 boomshakalaka.
Even though for all intents and purposes my May is over, I feel obligated to make a Streak for the Cash pick anyway. I think that there will be a leader after the first period in tonight's pivotal Game 7 in the Eastern Conference Finals between the Rangers and the Lightning. Who will it be? I'll say the Broadway Blue Shirts as they complete their second consecutive series comeback. HAPPY STREAKING EVERYBODY!!!!
